''A Chronicle of the Plague'' is the second studio album by dark ambient band Dark Ages, recorded in July and September 2006.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Dark Ages - A Chronicle of the Plague )〕 Its lyrical themes are that of the Black Plague. Supernal Music website describes the album as "more melodic than (HREF="http://www.kotoba.ne.jp/word/11/Twilight of Europe" TITLE="Twilight of Europe">Twilight of Europe'' ), and inspired on the horrors of the Middle Ages. Between the fall of the Western Roman empire in A.D. 476 and the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Europe was ravaged by plagues and superstition. Greek was largely forgotten, and with it much of the learned texts of antiquity.
